I have encountered many evils in my years. The most damaging kind has come from unbalanced people who were trying to lead balanced lives. There are various reasons why some of us end up unbalanced. Chemical imbalances, tragic events, and terrible childhoods often tip the scales. Unbalanced people are mentally unstable. They harbor twisted notions of right and wrong. Many wrongs can result when these individuals do what they believe is alright. These wrongs are especially serious when an unbalanced person is psychotic. Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train (1951) is a film about such wrongs. It is a masterpiece with a lot of brilliance to digest.
