Hide

I did it. I did. I was invisible. I hid. I hid myself within thin air. People walked past me and never knew to stare. I chuckled until I almost cried. I never liked “And Go Seek,” just the game of “Hide.” People cannot hurt whom they cannot see. If I live unseen, then I can be pain-free. I hid as a kid but was always sought. An invisible man can never be caught. If I master this art, I could vanish anywhere. I could vanish any time. No one would know that I was there. As a grownup, the game of “Hide” is still fun. “And Go Seek” is for those lucky folks who have a loved one.
