I’m So Young
When I got to high school, I knew that I would never drink alcohol. I did not like the fact that people changed with intoxication. Losing control is what scared me. I liked being Dr. Jekyll. I knew that alcohol would have turned me into Mr. Hyde. While others could be content with one or two cookies, I would want to devour the entire box. The same thing would have applied to alcohol consumption. In high school, a lot of my peers could not wait to start drinking alcohol. Some of them did not wait. A lot of them were already attempting to have serious relationships. I was not looking to do these things but I understood the associated frustration. Youth prohibits us from doing certain things that we feel we are ready to do. I’m So Young is a song that voices this frustration. My favorite version of it was released by the Beach Boys in 1965.
